Fair enough. I guess my distinction was time. Whereas the Medical Report which forms the examiners opinion holds true for the length of my award - a minimum of 10 years - my medical evidence for PIP is now a year old and could be considered outdated. I'll collect more when the time comes.

Finally which guide to use! I filled in my ESA 50 in May 2013 and the decision was made by the end of June. Although I photocopy my forms I don't have a copy of the front page which just had my address details etc - so I have no idea what the code was in the bottom left hand corner. As such I have no idea if I filled in an old style ESA 50. Is there another way to tell? Thanks.

Those assessing you should accept evidence that is less than two years old without problem but I would always explain how the reports lead to how you are now; better, worse the same.

Use the latest ESA Claim guides, it does not matter when you were last assessed, you will be assessed against the current Descriptors and Regulations.

Ok. I was reading the members guides for ESA and it said if you filled in an old style ESA 50 in your last claim you would be governed by the old rules when it came to your renewal and to use the old guide's. I have no idea if I filled in an old style ESA 50 or not. So I won't be under the old rules as the wording under the guide suggests?

No the old guides are only applicable if you are challenging a Decision made from a old ESA50. This will be new reassessment so you need to use the latest guides.
