Hi all. I'm not sure if anyone read my first post here, but I have been having amazing hassles, upsets, hormonal tantrums, patronizing, panic attack inducing problems regarding my 'change of circumstances' to my PIP. Well, I've talked to so many PIP operators, ATOS operators, Citizens Advice, my MP, my GP, ATOS & DWP Decision Makers. Sent letters, sent more letters, more evidence, more MP & evidence letters. My brain is completely frazzled by the sheer magnitude of what should be so simple, is so darn complicated... I'm emotionally and morally knackered! Anyway, as my GP was on annual leave during all of this kerfuffle, I was given until June 12th to get all of my evidence (ie. my GP's Form), My husband collected the form from GP and sent it by Signed for and tracked post on Friday (18/5). The DWP knew this (or one person did) and as I said, gave extra time to wait for GP to return! In the meantime... ATOS sent back their complaint answer to me and DWP. So I received my Mandatory Reconsideration letter this morning... completely ignoring the fact that they were waiting for my GP's form!!!!???!!! So, obviously, next week is going to be fun! Will they delete this Mandatory Reconsideration and do a new one based on what was written in my records that I had extra time to submit my GP notes which they will receive on Monday? No wonder the waiting lists are so long! I've never known such a disorganised anxiety-inducing incompetent system ever. I am dreading UC. :(

If it was on your file that you could not provide more information before June then you have good reason to ask for a second MR to be done but are you sure that this letter will make a difference to the DWP's Decision? You do have the option of carrying on to appeal now rather than waiting.

Hi... yes Gordon you are totally correct. I did get my time extended until the 12th June because I was waiting for my GP's report (downloaded from here, I think... my Husband dropped it off at Surgery) it took just over a week for her to do (I did get charged for this) I sent it signed for, tracked, on Friday and that's when I got my MR!!! I called the CIB in a bit of a state and they said 'It'll be fine, don't worry, enjoy the weekend and we can talk on Monday' <---- Really? If I wasn't about me, I'd find it amusing! Anyway, after a perfectly rubbish weekend, I woke at 4am and at 8am I called the DWP (not really advisable... took an hour to get through) I explained everything, it's all noted... even the Tracking no. for my GP report. So, because my GP report is accurate, if they don't change any of the descriptors, I'm not sure about Appealing. I'm hoping this won't be the case because how can you not agree with a person's GP? Well... if it DOES come to Appealing, the CIB called this morning to say they have an Appeals specialist who would get me through it. (AGORAPHOBIA ALERT! 60 MILE ROUND TRIP!) That would stop me from appealing! I will call DWP on Wednesday and see what's going on, and to remind them what they actually have to read and use for this part of the process. As it stands, I'm on Standard for both parts, so I still have something. I think calling them every day might also be a sign that I have a bit of the anxiousness. Their notes on me are just going to get longer and longer. I always apologise for phoning and the operator always says it's no problem... so I phone. Well, that's all I know for now.
