Hi - timing couldn’t be worse my husband is posting his PIP form tomorrow. We are going away for 6 weeks on 12/7. We have put this on the form.. is there a risk he will be called for assessment while we are away and if so could his claim be at risk? He is registered blind and has been on DLA for about. 20 years- his brother is in a similar situation and wasnt called for face to face assessment so we are hoping it will be the same for him but he is of course concerned.

I would expect you to hear about the need for an assessment in 3-6 weeks of your returning the assessment form, so you should hear well before you go away, you can also chase the Assessment Provider for your postcode, I would leave it a week or so to make sure they have his forms.
