ESA F2F Assessment - Unexpected Findings

It was my son's assessment today (he has mental health issues) and during it he admitted to drinking 1/2 litre of Rum a day and occasionally smoking weed to cope. He had not told his doctor this, due to embarrassment, so the HCP completed an "Unexpected Findings Form" and faxed it to his doctor. Has anyone else had this happen to them? I am concerned it may affect his claim but at least he finally managed to admit he has a problem.

The HCP also mentioned a report from his doctor and I wondered if I can request a copy of this when I ask for a copy of the Assessment Form.

We hear about this relatively infrequently, in fact even when we do it is unusual for the assessor to actually follow up and notify the claimants GP.

Yes, you should be able to request a copy of the GP report when you request the assessment one.
