has anyone had this before, my wifes assessment today this morning and just got a call 30min before we were to leave that they need change it to later int he day or cancel it due to staff shortage! how can this be acceptable.. my wife is extremely distressed by having to go in the first place.. what a thing to do to someone! Should i complain at all yet or should i wait till after the decision comes though?

Unfortunately the Assessment Providers run with no contingency for situations like this so cancelled appointments happen.
It's up to you about making a complaint, as it is not about the results of an assessment I don't think that there are knock on issues that you need to worry about.
