Make sure that you or your team do all of the things necessary for your ESA claim, so having been sent an ESA50 it must be returned by the required date, there are no extensions for doing this so don't lose track of the process.

I would certainly include the information but don't just attach it, make sure that you explain what it is, why you have sent it and why it is relevant to your ESA claim. Whilst I think it very unlikely that they will not contact your support team, there is no legal requirement for them to do so and you need to cover this gap in the information that you send.

Gordon hi

Wondering if you could please point me in the direction to re-educate myself on Substantial Risk changes. Vital area for so many of us................been out of the loop for 3yrs, reassessment due end of this year!

I am in the same situation as you. I have just received my form over ESA and also in the support group at the moment. Only for the government changing retirement age I should have been getting my state pension for the last 4 years but have to wait until January 2020 before I can get it. I had the hassle of fighting for my PIP and I feel like giving up the fight again. I no I am jumping ahead of myself as I have not even sent the form back yet but the way they treat people you always think the worse. Also I got the form on my birthday so it ruined my day. I too have COPD and its never going to improve only get worse so will they look at it like that or just make us suffer more stress. Only time will tell. Hope you don't mind me messaging you but its just to let you no your not alone at this moment in time.

Sorry, I thought I had answered this.

The ESA Claim guides and in particular the Mental Health one, explain the changes and the current requirements.

Gordon, just an update Sent ESA50 and all funtional info. Sent on 13th June recorded of course.

Maximus now have it in their hands from Wolverhampton site on the 18th June. Confirmed by Maximus. As it had to be back by 20th June.

So it's been two weeks since they've now had it and I'm panicing somewhat, how long, when or months to wait to hear anything, its headbanging to say the least.

Here's hoping Gordon for a PB and exempted. Waiting game has started and many sleepless nights again.
