How long before we hear Change from DPA to PIP? was created by karen
Submitted little Ps PIP application approx 10 May, had a phone call from LD team to say they had had a phone all from DWP asking about her medical needs - I hadn’t put them on the pip form.... since then nothing.
Just wondered how long claims take and also how come they could just access her medical history is it s9mething I need to be vigilant about?

Were the LD team listed as contacts for the DLA claim, it's much more likely that the contact came from there.

No they just appeared when k reached 18. The DLA ran from when she was 9.
I didn’t put gp or any medical as the 3 people on form.
I was just surprised .
The gp hadn’t changed from birth.
I had included a paediatrician report

OK that is surprising. Access to medical records normally requires explicit consent although I have heard of GP surgeries releasing information when not authorised to do so because they thought there was implicit consent.
