I am dealing with a PIP claim from DLA for my son. We have just received the DWP letter to say he does not qualify. We are in the process of putting a letter together to the DWP to ask for a reconsideration. Can we request a copy of Capitas report from the DWP ?

Yes you can, contact the DWP office dealing with his claim, if you can wait for the report before you request the MR so you can deal with the issues that it raises.

Thank you for your reply. Unfortunately there will not be sufficient time to wait for it to arrive before we send in for a reconsideration, the letter from the DWP was dated 7 days before it was received anyway, and to meet the deadline we won't be able to wait. Have requested a copy anyway.
