PIP NEW CLAIM was created by ubique1
hi can anyone help me in the new claim pip.i have recieved a letter stating my pip run out date is the 21-7-2018 on the same letter it says make new claim here via phone which i did and asked all sorts of questions for about 20-25 mins with a robotic human voice at the other end (human).a few things cropped up at the end.
my question was do i still get paid pip on my first claim if the 2nd claim process goes over this date¿ i was told i would not be paid!reason being is as my first claim was confirmed by a tribunal for 5 years the run out date was not allowed to be seen by the pip staff .so i have less time to do all stuff required as not to run over cut of date for 1st claim.person on phone did not even undestand at first why this had happened then asked management.so the problem is because my first claim came from the tribunal the pip cannot cut my date sooner like when other applicants renew.
can anyone tell me if this is right seems very unfair stopping payment when my 2nd claim might/wont be confirmed before 21-7-18 in theory i am still confirmed as on pip until the 2nd claim is confirmed or refusded?
any advise would help.
thanks
ps hope it was not to confusing?

I'm afraid your current award cannot be extended, however, providing you meet all of the requirements of the process, then any new award should start from the day after you current award ends.

gordon thanks for the reply.surley the pip dept have done bloomer on their part by giving me a lot less time to get all appropraite evidence etc and no doubt go through another medical which i will have to wait a month for and then the medical personnel here ( nhs abroad) will then need to then send it over to uk .you are talking about 4-6 months going by the time it took for my 1st pip claim!
if it is nearly 1 year in the uk thats a lot of time to get things done!
thanks

If you are abroad then I don't have any view of how the DWP renew awards, I think you are only the second member who we have had in this situation and who is claiming PIP.

I'm afraid you don't really have any options but to follow the process through.
