Applying for PIP before or after 64th birthday.

Hallo, I phoned this morning to apply for PIP for the first time.

One of the questions I was asked is if I am between 16 and 64 years of age, I asked what difference does it make but was not given an answer.

The line went dead before the phone interview ended, so I assume my application has not gone through yet.

I will be 64 in the next few days, should I apply for PIP before or after my birthday? What difference does it make?

Thanks for your help.

You can only claim PIP if you are between the ages of 16 and 64, hence the question so it does not matter whether you claim now or after 64th birthday,
