Hi
I read some advice on another website that if you don't want the DWP contacting your GP with the result of your assessment for example failing the assessment where they recommend to your GP not to issue further fit notes for ESA purposes, The advice is to write on page 21 that you don't want your GP contacted with the result of the the assessment and also on page 22 to cross put the section where it says you agree to for your GP to be contacted, just wondering is this necessary?
I'm also just wondering why they contact your GP about this anyway?because even if your GP still gives you a fit note, its pointless because they still wont accept it if you fail the WCA anyway. So it kind of doesn't make sense.

I've no idea whether this would work or not but it does have the downside that they won't contact the claimants GP for evidence either, although they don't often ask for this in the first place.
I'll be honest, I don't see any value in doing this.
