SAR to GP was created by Alicie
I have read elsewhere that, following the GDPR, it is no longer possible for charges to be made for SARs (and that GPs are fare from happy about this eg www.pulsetoday.co.uk/your-practice/pract...ons/20036599.article and www.pulsetoday.co.uk/home/finance-and-pr...ion/20035668.article ).
Does this mean that we should now all get our SAR requests in quickly, before they find a way round the new legislation, so that they can go back to charging the usual £50 for copies of our medical records?

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

It's not entirely correct that GP Practices cannot charge but the vast majority of requests should not be charged for.
I wouldn't worry about rushing to do the requests, the guidance issued to GPs is pretty clear about this issue.

Thanks Gordon.
What are the circumstances in which GPs can charge?
And do you have a link to the advice issued to GPs?
Thanks.

See the following, it includes the circumstances when charges can be made.
