ESA Home Assessment vitsit was created by David McCowen
Due to being bed ridden for 22 days last years when my assessment was due last June, My doctor wrote a letter saying that it would not be possible for me to attend, he also stated in the letter that he has advised me not to attend and that a home visit would be better. My home visit is next week. The letter the letter states that it is a doctor and not an assessor. Does this mean it will be any different then what would happen if going for an assessment at one of their centres? I have a number of heath issues, Multiple Pulmonary Embolism Spondylosis, Arthritis, A total removal of bowels. I wear NO stoma bag.
Suffer from Incontinent and leakage.
Genetic Bilateral Deafness, wear two hearing aids.
I have reoccurring ulcers.
I now suffer from Hypertension
I am tired and lethargic

No, the doctor is still an assessor and it will still be an assessment and not a medical. Home assessments are not significantly different from one done in their offices.

Our PIP Claim guide has sections on the assessment and the questions you are likely to be asked.
