Has anyone been given a paper based assessment? My hisband has physical and mental health problems. His review form came last December. i sent it off in January. i still have not received a reply they are saying they need mkre medical evidence. i sent in over 100 pages which I had catalogued to make it easier to read. So Im just wondering has anyone been fiven a paper based assessment and how did it go?

Debbie

PBRs are quite rare, they do happen but it is very much a dependant on the underlying conditions, unfortunately most have a wide variety of impacts on claimants and it is this that means that a face to face is often required.

Hi Gordon
I have spoken to the woman at Capita and she said she will try to get it paper based. Do you think this sounds like he might be successful in his review or can you not read too much into it.
Thanks

I'm afraid I would not read too much into it, although if they do one it usually means that that will be an award but there is no guarantee that it will be the one that you expect.

Hiya i was in the same situation as you. I had a Paper Based assessment and sent loads of factual evidence and at first wanted to do a home visit and it was Capita.

I couldent cope with them coming to my gome and i got onto my MH team and they managed to comtact Capita amd dealt with a manager amd stopped the home assessment and then got a PB instead thankfully i had also sent so much info in and the end result was cery good fortunately. I recieved Enhanced on both ongoing Paper based and stating no review necessary that was in October 17.

I was formely known as (GoingOffMyHeadWithThisGovernment) Won PIP November 2017 ongoing award HR both. Now kept and got my ESA Support group but took a while.

Thanks for replying. I’m really happy you got a good result. I’m hoping this will happen for my husband as he has been suicidal with the stress of this PIP review.
