Hi, I'm filling in the PIP2 application on behalf of my Mum (with her dictating to me) and we will be submitting significantly more than the space on the form allows.

What I would like to know is does additional information submitted with the PIP2 application have to be hand written or can it be printed?! The form makes a big point about the form needing to be filled in in pen, but it doesn't specify how additional information should be submitted! I have been typing this additional information as we go and although I am happy to hand write it if I have to (I definitely don't want to do anything that could jeopardize the claim) I would obviously rather not if I can avoid it as it is likely to be over 40 pages long!!

And advice would be appreciated! Regards, Viv.

It is perfectly OK for you to type your answers and attach them as extra pages to the PIP2, just make sure that each page has your full name and NIN at the top and that they are numbered, we recommend "page X of Y" so that it is easy to see if pages are missing. Make sure you clearly mark on the form where your answers are and on the relevant page that you are answering question X.

Attach the pages to the back of the PIP2 using a staple or make a hole in the top left corner and use a treasury tag, string or ribbon to the form. The pages need to be easily detached so that they can be scanned by the DWP.
