Hi All

The time has come to renew both my PIP and UC Support Group claims.

I won enhanced for both categories at tribunal. Am i write in assuming that i have to phone up for a form in order to reapply as if it was a fresh application? Do they not send out a renewal form?

With regards to UC- i was put in support group on assessment and never went to appeal. Am i to expect a letter in the post soon or like with PIP do i have to reapply myself?

Thank You

When does your PIP award end?

ESA is an indefinite aware with regular reassessment, you do not need to take any action, the DWP will contact you when an assessment is due, until then your current award remain in payment until a new Decision is made.

Hi Gordan

PIP finishes this September.

I am not on ESA, i am on Universal Credit in the support group. I am not sure if that makes a difference?

Old habits :) it's the same for UC.

The DWP have obviously not reassessed you a year early as most claims are, this may be due to the length of your award (short), or that the Decision was made at a Tribunal .

The DWP should contact you 13 weeks in advance of your claim ending but all that the letter will say is that you need to make a new claim for PIP, so I would contact the PIP Claim line now to start the process.

Contact information is in our PIP Claim guide.

Thank You.

So i just wait for the letter for Universal Credit?

I do a few hours of permitted work per week which the Universal Credit people know about. Do the different departments talk to each other with regards to this? Should i assume that the PIP people know about the permitted work?

I would assume they do, although you are not required to tell the PIP team that you are working it may count against you if you don't. You need to explain how you manage this work without it contradicting the reasons why you currently receive PIP.
