pip guide not correct? was created by mf5405
Hallo
I am referring to the pip guide june 2018, 95 pages.
On page 12 it says:
"Once you have completed the telephone interview you will be sent a copy of the completed form to check, sign and return".
I never received this form.
Also the "How your disability effects you" form is now PIP.1003
Can you please let me know if procedure or detail have changed recently?
Thanks

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

When PIP was implemented in 2013 it was standard for the PIP1 to be sent to the claimant to confirm that the content was correct, this now only happens if there are outstanding issues following the initial phone call.
Although the DWP refer to the "How your disability effects you" form as the PIP2 form, throughout their documentation, the actual form does not have this reference on it, the only reference that actually appears on the form is PIP 1003.

So better to request paper copy of PIP1 form if you can't check that correct info taken over the phone?

Unless you have a cognitive problem or have a sensory problem then it's very unlikely that you will get a paper copy of the form, you should be able to ask the call operator to confirm what they have entered onto the computer system if you make the call.

Please would the authors of the B & W PIP Guide amend the document to take account of what has been revealed in this thread (ie no longer routinely being sent a copy of the PIP1 form to check and about the reference codes on, or used to refer to, the 'how your disability affects you" form).
Thank you in advance
