extension for returning PiP review form was created by keeptrying
I just had an interesting conversation with a lovely lady at DWP about extending the return of pip form
she seemed very surprised my form only arrived last week (it is dated May 25th)
she said they allow 40 days for return?
she was happy to extend the time and said she could add another 14 days, but that i still had 18 days left
when i queeried this as it says it needs to be back in 10 days (on a monday so that means sent in a week) she said they allow another week beyond the date given.
I am just wondering if other people knew this

I would ring the DWP again, there are some fundamental problems with what you have been told;

- claimants are given 28 days to complete the PIP2, not the 40 that you were told and this includes postage time.

- extensions to this are available but they should have extended the period by two weeks not the week that they appear to have given you.

Asking for an extension is covered in our PIP Claim guide.

Gordon, she did extend it by 2 weeks
the confusing bit was that she said that would take it to having to be returned by July 17th (instead of june 25th on form) - that is why I questioned what she was saying
I may well do as you suggest, but I will be sending it back well before that anyway

So three weeks, that is unusual, I would definitely check.
