Pip “going out” was created by Mell
Hi I hope someone can help me. I have completed my PIP claim form except for the going out part. I have inoperable cateracts and double incontinance. I never go out alone which I have explained already. When we go out my husband always pushes me in my wheelchair (used due to other medical issues) I get extremely anxious and upset until I know where the toilets are, in addition I have to be accompanied because I can’t see.
No sure how this applies to going out as it said about not including Physical problems.
Thanks in advance

You say that you cannot see, do you have any medical reports that confirm this? If you do then you may be able to show that you cannot follw a route due to your sensory problems.

The anxiety that result from your incontinence will only help if you can show that it leads to "overwhelming psychological distress" and this then prevenst you from following a route.

The PIP Claim guide explains the requirements in more detail.
