Hi all first time on here. i just had my assessment result by phone call on the 18/6/18 at 9am n the morning.I was shocked by the result the lady gave me saying i had scored 0 points.
On speaking to the lady i told her that my condition had deteriorated and i was in extreme pain. The lady told me if i could supply further information about my current condition to submit for consideration by the decision maker by the 9/7/18.

I have since seen my gp regarding my condition who has wrote a report for me (£25.00) !.

I have asked my phyiso if he can write a report for me but was told only if he is contacted by dwp.
I am wondering what else i can submit to them, and if this is rejected how do i appeal.
Sorry to waffle on but i'm am extremely worried and just don't know what to do .
Any help advice would be welcomed.
thanks chris

The first thing to do is to request a copy of the assessment report by contacting the DWP office dealing with your claim.

The Decision Letter will have the Decision Makers Statement of Reasons included, have you received this yet?

It's not always about supplying more evidence, your starting point needs to be whether you have adequately shown how you meet the criteria for an award, so I would start by going back through your claim form with our Claim guide to make sure that you have done this, remember you need to be able to complete the PIP activities reliably and on the majority of days.

I would speak to your Physio again, now that a Decision has been made, the DWP will not source any additional information.

Although you been told the 9 July, make sure that any response yo make is with the DWP well before this date as it can easily take a week for information to get through to the right person.

So it is likely that your phone call has been treated as a request for a Mandatory Reconsideration, although I would still send them a letter confirming this, there is a template letter in the MR & Appeals guide in the ESA section.

Revision rates at MR are low but they do happen, it will most likely depend whether you can show a fundamental misunderstanding of your problems in the assessment report.

If the MR fails then you do have the option of making an appeal.

It's in the Employment and Support Allowance Mandatory Reconsideration And Appeal Submissions link under ESA Appeals.
