PIP Appeal was created by katie
Hi All,
Apologies if I am in the wrong place - i am new to the Forum.
I applied for PIP in May 2017, was declined, did MR which was declined on 7/11/2017 - and I am still waiting on a date for my appeal!
I sent in a load of evidence (medical data etc) to the courts as well which they have confirmed they have received.
They then also sent this to DWP (as I know they do)
I then got a text on 8th June from DWP stating this:
We've received the written report of your assessment. We will write to you once we've made a decision on your PIP. As a guide you should hear from us within 4 weeks. You do not need to contact us again unless any of the details you gave us have changed. Thank you.
I called DWP who had no idea what this was, although they did confirm that there a note saying they had received 101 pages of medical evidence which is correct. They explained that the actions for my "case worker" were pending all to call the court.
So I called the court and they advised it meant they could change their mind, but still could not give a date for the appeal.
I have waited 34 weeks now - and they told me the wait was 36?
Can anybody help?
Thanks x

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

Katie
We have seen this text a number of times recently in exactly your circumstances, it's being sent in error as a response to the Tribunal Service notifying them of your appeal request.
I would check with the TS again, wait times have continued to extend.

I also do not have a rep yet as the CBA said to get back in touch when I got a date through, is this too late? As I am worrying now

I would not be surprised if the CAB are unable to help you when you do receive a date, they are overwhelmed with requests.
