Savings in income related WRAG was created by JACKTOFF
Hi
Would be grateful for some advice please
I have had to retire with I’ll heath retirement so I’ve got my pension 7 years early
I got a good lump sum and receive £1200 a month
I am on PIP Standard till 2020
I get ESA in support group but due to my pension only get £5 per week
My wife has had mental health issues since 2003 and was on DLA (lost it now) she’s not effected enough apparently
She was on IB till the change over to ESA where she was in the support group
She has had her f2f and is now in WRAG income related till December
I’m unsure as to what this will affect her ESA
IE will the amount of savings over £16000 effect her/me
Cheers

Any assets and savings that you AND your wife have in excess of £6000 will effect her ESA, if this is the case then you need to notify the DWP office dealing with her claim immediately as there may be a recoverable over payment of her ESA.

Thank you
If I hadn’t have asked , How would We know about this?
No one has asked her about any savings we have and I can’t see anywhere on letters saying so
Cheers

Your wife would have been asked about you household income and savings when she applied for ESA and would have been told that any changes needed to be notified to the DWP, there's reminder about this on the annual Entitlement Letter.
