How do I find out if the DWP are aware of my pension payment. I cannot see anything about it on any of the ESA forms that I have. I would have informed them if there was any mention of receiving a pension.
I have a job centre plus information form BF140 2012. On page 2 which is headed Pension income, it states that pension income rules do not apply if your Incapacity benefit began prior to 6 April 2001. My entitlement began in 1997.

So does that mean that the same pension income rules will have stayed the same when I was transferred from Incapacity benefit to ESA in January 2014?

The likelihood is that the DWP do not know about pension even if you did inform them when claiming IB, record keeping at this time was truly appalling.

Providing your pension was disregarded under IB then it will also be disregarded under ESA, please be aware that not deducted is not the same as disregarded, the end result should be the same but you may have to "steer" the DWP to the correct conclusion.

Do you have documentation on when you first started receiving your pension?

Yes I do have documentation on when I started receiving my pension. I was retired on the grounds of ill health and my pension started in December 2007. I remember when applying for IB that the DWP were aware of my ill health pension and what I was receiving. Also at that time it did not affect my IB payments because pension income did not apply.
The information booklet BF140 I received in 2012 from jobcentre plus was all about the rules about my payments. And like I have said previously it stated on page 4 that pension income is not taken into account if your IB entitlement began prior to 6 April 2001.
So as far as I am aware when I was moved onto ESA there was no mention from anywhere that my pension income would now be taken into account. I have looked at the forms I was sent and I completed in the change over from IB to ESA. I cannot find anything that says about my pension and any change to being on ESA from when I was on IB.
I have always provided any information on what has been asked of me either medically or financially. How do I find out if the rules have changed about the pension income still not applying when transferring over from IB since i was on it from 1997 to when it was transferred to ESA in 2013?

I forgot to mention in my last message about when you asked if I had
any documentation of when my pension started which was in 1997 and the answer is yes I have. I have been reading documents on the internet saying that anyone who received IB before 6 April 2001 would still be protected when transferring onto ESA and that pension payments would still not be taken into account. There are also quotes from people in the same situation as me saying that when they were transferred from IB to ESA that is why there were not financial questions about pensions because they were not taken into account. And from checking the documents I received there was no mention about anything financial eg pension payments.

If you have documentation going back to when you first claimed IB then there should be no problem, just be aware that other members have had problems in the short term before they DWP accepted that the pension should be disregarded for ESA.

I received a visit in July for a performance measurement visit. The gentleman who came to see me was very helpful. I gave him all of the information required which included details of my pension that I had been receiving when I was retired on the grounds of ill health. I also informed the DWP at that time when starting to receive Incapacity Benefit.
At the end of the interview he told me that everything was fine and that my pension still would not be taken into consideration because I was receiving Incapacity Benefit before April 2001. He concluded by saying everything seemed fine and in order and that I should hear no more.
I have now received a letter on 26 Sept from DWP headed we are reviewing your benefits and circumstances and have to attend JCP in 10 days time.
My question is why would I receive this after I was told after the performance visit that everything would be ok and I shouldn’t hear anymore. Also do I have to attend this appt or can it be done either over the phone or at my home with me being in the ESA support group.
