I have received a letter saying that I am to have a home assessment.. I don’t know if this is an advantage or disadvantage for me.... Has anyone else had this?

It is usually seen as a positive as it is an acceptance by the Assessment Provider that you have sufficient disability to limit your ability to attend at their offices.
The PIP Claim guide has sections on the assessment and the questions you are likely to be asked.
