PIP Award was created by Sharron
Today I received the dreaded brown envelope with my award notice. I have received standard rate for daily living and standard for mobility. To be looked at again in 1-2 years. I have been on enhanced mobility indefinite award of DLA for 20 years and this now means that my car will have to be returned to Motability. I am absolutely devastated. I work 3 days a week 18 hours and this is my only means of getting to and from work. My conditions and mobility have got worse over the years but on the Atos HP consultation report form PA4 she wrote "However due to her diverse medical conditions, it is probably that she can stand and then move unaided more than 20 metres but no more than 50 metres repeated and reliably on the majority of days". I do not agree with this, or the length of the award. Steve could I ask if when I ask for the Mandatory Reconsideration do I include the template letter regarding access request under the Date Protection Act 1998 asking for evidence that was used by the decision maker. You expert advice is much appreciated

You can but make sure it is clearly labelled "Subject Access Request".

Don't expect too much, unless they wrote to your medical contacts then there is unlikely to be any other documentation.

Sorry I do apologise I meant Gordon. I don't think they wrote to the medical contacts so I will just highlight the information in the evidence I have already submitted. Does the decision maker read all of the medical evidence and are they medically trained. I had a nurse come to do my home assessment. She obviously cant have read her notes on me as she wore strong perfume and clearly in my notes it says that I have very bad allergic reactions to this.

The DM should read all of the evidence, as a minimum your claim form and anything attached and the assessment report. They are not medically trained.
