Hi Gordon, the example of second opinion on pip was that the original hp report recommended high rate mobility and high rate care but the 2nd opinion only recommended low rate on both. When my report is received by dwp am I able to speak to case manager to discuss the report before they post it out. Thankyou

I'm afraid it is very unlikely that the Claims Manager will want to talk to you. You can contact the DWP office dealing with your claim, they can take notes for the CM to see.

Hi Gordon, have you heard about any cases like I mentioned before, where a second opinion has recommended a lower award than the original? I wondered why you think the cm will not speak to me as I have spoken to them in the past when I have arranged a call back. thanks

I have seen a reduced award recommended when a second opinion has been asked for but it is certainly not the norm.
The CM can decide to talk to but it is not DWP policy to do this before a Decision has been made.
