Thanks for your response Gordon.

I read that article yesterday which is one of the reasons I emailed the information to capita straight after I'd given my complaint verbally. I also phoned DWP yesterday and again today and told them that they had asked us for a description of our house and that the customer relations lady had said they would be asking the assesor to describe my house so there would be a record of it! My GP also phoned me yesterday morning to speak to me first thing and asked me to email the practise after to update her so it's documented in that too.

The first time we phoned at about 9.35am on Monday they said to give her an hour to be classed as late, that was when they asked for the house description, including what colour the front door was and what colour car we had parked in the drive.

They told my partner that if no one was there after that it was unlikely they were coming and to phone back

The second time we phoned approx 1 1/2 hours later and were told that no one was coming that day. They told my partner first then I asked to speak to them and to make a complaint.

I think it is very suspect that they asked for the house details which my partner gave in good faith, but from what the customer services said to me today about asking the assesor for house details to prove she had been there (which she hadn't) it all seems to stack up to a bad conclusion.

It is criminal that they can get away with these lies!

I would say my GP letter is very detailed in terms of why it would not be appropriate to attend a clinic for an interview - it wasn't even discussed last time I applied and I was given a face to face based on my medical info a year ago, and would say I am in a worse position now than I was then - had someone read the information I'd sent them they would know that!

I'll keep phoning and writing emails and letters until I get a response, I will keep you updated!

Again thank you so much for your input, and any more advice or help gratefully recieved :)
