Hello, following sending my ESA form in 6 months ago, I have not yet received a medical assessment and I have received no letter whatsoever. I noticed in my bank account that my ESA payments went up, so I wrote to the dwp, as I am unable to ring, asking what was going on, but I received no response. After a couple of months I wrote again asking what was going on, explaining that I've had no communication whatsoever, but again I've had no response to that either. I'm really concerned that this extra money is not really mine, and that a mistake was made, so I've not dared to spend it. What else can I do? I need to know what is going on, it's making me more ill constantly worrying. Should I contact CAB to get help sorting this out? I'm not sure I'm up to it entirely, but there's one at my centre that I could try to cope seeing. Any advice about what I could do next is very gratefully received. This is a horrible situation, worrying about an assessment for 6 months is awful, but frightened that I might mistakenly spend the extra payment and getting confused as to how much extra I've actually received is worse still. Thank you.
