More than 5 weeks since sent in form was created by Rebecca
Be grateful for any thoughts.
It has been over 5 weeks since DWP received my 'How your disability affects you' form and all the evidence. Should I contact them or continue to wait?
In the meantime, I have been receiving DLA as normal. If I was fortunate to be awarded PIP, would this be backdated from when they received the form? (obviously if higher).
Though, of course, I am more so expecting the 'consultation with a heath professional'.
Thank you.

Your documents should be with the Assessment Provider for your area, we would normally expect claimants to hear in about five weeks about an assessment but the summer months usually see a slow down in processes adding a couple of weeks.

You can contact the AP for your postcode for an update.
