ESA last payment before working was created by Nicky
Hi,

Can someone advise when I should expect the last ESA payment for my partner and I (his claim)?

Usually paid every 2 weeks, and I start full time work on the 7th aug, we are due a payment on the 8th August - I’m assuming we will still get this one as we plan on calling them on the 7th to inform them of me working. But should we expect anything else after that?

Thanks in advance,
N

ESA is paid two weeks in arrears so there will be one more, partial, payment after you notify them that you are working.

I assume your partner is receiving only Income Related ESA, if they have any Contribution Based ESA then it is not affected by your working.

So one on the 22nd then? By partial, how much are we talking? 1 day, 2? Etc... I’m trying to budget our first wage so we can pay the bills as we have limited savings.

Yes all income related esa.

Thanks Gordon!

ESA payments are processed about three days before payment so it would not be more than a day or two of ESA.
