decision delay

at the end of the face to face interview for dla to pip my wife was told to expect a letter within 4 weeks it is now nearly 8 weeks with no decision is this normal or what should she do to get a decision.

I too am waiting for my decision as I had my pip review assessment on the 29th may and still have not had a decision , my husband has rang the dwp several times asking if they have made a decision yet and all they say it ,that it's being looked at by a case manager? , . Like you I'm panicking and really stressed about the delay as like your wife I was told it would be 2-4 wks for a decision . I live in the east of England so I don't know if it's to do with where in the country you live or what really ? , .it would be nice if the dwp explained why there is such a long waiting time ,but I think that's too much to ask for . I hope you get your decision soon and hopefully mine too .

same as us rang up and told it is with case manager for decision only we are in north west looks like have to wait a bit longer.

Mine is now over 4 weeks too and they told me that the waiting time to get your claim and report looked at by a DM is now approx 6-8 weeks when I rang them
