ESA Support Group to UC Query

ESA Support Group to UC Query was created by Bea
I had my UC interview today, and told them that I have been in the ESA support group since Jan 2014 and was awarded ESA support group until June 2019.
They told me that I will probably be reassessed - a work capability assessment - and that there is no guarantee that I'll get the LCWRA element. I have an appointment with a work coach next Tuesday, to go through my "commitments".
Is this correct? I was originally told that I would automatically receive the LCWRA element if I switched to UC (I had no choice about switching because I moved to a new area). My work coach couldn't even operate the UC system and he had no idea about ESA at all. I don't know who to contact, what to say... I'm now really scared about how I'll survive on half the money I thought I'd be getting. Any advice would be wonderful, thank you.

Unfortunately, the training for UC staff is appalling and only covers basic claims, the staff simply do not understand the implications of an existing ESA claim.

What you were told originally was correct, your ESA award should be transferred to UC and there should be no requirement for you to be reassessed any earlier than you originally would have.

It may take a couple of weeks before your LCWRA (Support Group) status is added to your UC claim, as this appears to be a completely manual process, but you will receive back payment of any missed money.

Unlike ESA, UC claimants with LCWRA status can have conditionality placed upon them but this should be no more than your regularly logging on to your UC journal to check for messages.

If you continue to have problems then escalate the problem via your journal.
