Lost PIP Mobility Component was created by wolfchile
I had a PIP tribunal a couple of months ago. I got Standard rate PIP back but not mobility. I had enhanced on both counts previously. I asked tribunal for statement of reasons but received none. I don't know what I would do even if I got them in terms of how to look at them? I am very unhappy as I feel I meet the criteria for enhanced mobility as I have a lot of difficulty walking. However is it too late for me to do anything now? I provided detailed evidence at tribunal and medical reports but they seemed to just accept the ATOS assessor who said 'he didn't think I was in pain'. I have been ill since and had no support. Also I am 65 in December‎

First of all chase the Tribunal Service for an update on the Statement of Reasons, you cannot do anything in regard to the current award without this.

The Tribunal Decision applies from the date of the same date as the Decision that you appealed so if you can show a deterioration in your conditions since then you can notify the DWP of the Change. This will result in a full reassessment of your claim, a new PIP2 and almost certainly a face to face assessment, the Decision that will result will supersede your current award whatever it is.

Write to the DWP office dealing with your claim with details office dealing with your claim explaining the Change and asking to be reassessed. If you can afford it send the letter using a Tracked post so that you have proof of delivery.

Once you reach 65 your Mobility award cannot be increased even if you meet the criteria, unless you are already being reassessed or the existing award is revised.
