assessment report from Atos was created by zannyflo
Hi all , I hope someone can help me. I had my assessment on the 31st of July, I have Bipolar and some mobility problems. The assessment went ok and the lady was lovely ( I had a few panic attacks during and she managed to help me feel relaxed. I asked for my report from the DWP after receiving a text to say they have received it. I was awarded on the report 17 points for care and 14 points for mobility but i have not received my letter from DWP yet. I was on low rate DLA for both. My application started on the 31st May. My first question really is
DO you think the decision maker will award the same points as he assessor at atos ?
second question is I get dla until the 24th Aug.
Will my pip payments start on the 24th Aug or will i get the payments from the 31st May ( my application start date obviously minus the dla payments already received. I am confused as to how this works when transfering from Dla to Pip.

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

I would expect the DWP Decision Maker to follow the recommendation of the assessor.

As you have a current award of DLA, it will remain in payment for a further four weeks once the Decision on your PIP award is made and then your PIP will take over, I'm afraid there is no backdating of an increased PIP award in these circumstances.
