Change of address when claiming ESA PIP

Will moving home have any effect on my claim for ESA and PIP ?, I am in the support group for ESA and recieve the high rate of PIP for past five years or so due to spinal injury, chronic disabling back-pain, and depression.

As a home-owner and unlike renters, I have gone through the normal home-owner process of selling my previous home to purchase my new home and I'm terrified that moving will result in me being transferred onto Universal Credit, trigger a reassessment of my ESA / PIP which might result in losing money or my benefits being stopped and told to re-apply from scratch, not sure l could cope with any more degrading Atos type medical assessments.

I moved last week and have notified DWP and council tax, just waiting to see what happens.

Has anyone else had problems with this? how might this effect me, should I even be worried about it ? any advice greatly appreciated.

Joe.

As you do not appear to need to make a new claim for any of the benefits that come under UC, your ESA will remain separate until the migration of ESA claimants to UC starts, this won't be for at least a year and could be a lot longer.
