Hello, im getting so anxious, whats the usual procedure? i did my phonecall to apply 8 weeks ago, forms were returned, had one text to say they have been received, that was 4 weeks yesterday, have heard nothing else at all. do they always text with further developments? or is this hit and miss, some get it some dont? if having a f2f will i have heard by now? it is likely that if done on paper evidence alone, i would just get the brown envelope? whats the longest i should maybe have to wait for a decision? so sorry so many questions, i am so worried about losing my money.

We would normally expect a claimant to hear in 2-5 weeks whether face to face assessment is required but Summer holidays are undoubtedly delaying the process by a couple of weeks.

You can contact the Assessment Provider for your postcode for an update.

Hello, i had the dreaded f2f ten days ago, have absolutely no idea how it went, we couldn't read the young lady at all, it took an hour. Im on the dla to pip assessment, have had high rate care and mob for a few years, was on indefinite.

I rang for a copy of the assessment report today, its not been received yet! how long does it normally take please?

also, whatever the decision is, whatever they award me this time, (if anything) do i get paid from this new pip decision whilst i do a MR and then possibly the appeal, or do all payments stop until after the appeal etc? many thanks. im sure i have several more weeks of sleepless and anxious nights wondering whether i will have to hand the car etc back.

We would normally expect the report to take no more than 7-10 days to arrive.

If you receive an award then it will remain in payment while any MR or appeal is done, unless revised as a result of these processes.

Hi Gordon, i received my report today from the assessment, i have added up the points and looks like im getting 12 points for each, so am hoping the decision maker will go by this which means i keep my car and money, feeling little less stressed but prob best to wait for the official letter in a month or so? had a text to say decision will be approx 6 weeks! . cant thank you enough for all your help, it has been one of the most stressful times and has def impacted on my health. I Have to say the report is fairly good, after the huge amount i have read over the last few months, the assessor i had has been very fair, ( couple of points i dont agree with !) but it is a lot of what i said on the day written on the report. im quite surprised! ;) from what you know is it quite likely the DM will go with the report? and give me enhanced for both based on the 12 points each for daily living and mobility, the only downside is the assessor has recommended a review in 2 years, although she has added that its very likely my health will deteriorate so will impact on my functional abilities!. ?? many thanks
