I sent in my PIP review almost two months ago and have heard nothing from DWP. Is this normal practice or do they just tale a while to reply.
Is the review to establish any changes or not and to decide upon another length on award?
Before I received my PIP I had to pay the full amount of council tax excluding the single person discount as I am working part time. Then the council gave me a refund of al the council tax I had paid once I notified them of my PIP award.
Now I seem to be paying the full amount of council tax with the 25% discount as before. Do people on PIP not have to just pay water and sewerage rates?
Council Tax reduction can be dependant on the level of PIP that a claimant is receiving but is also dependant on the Local Authority, some offer significant discount others not.
Check with local Welfare advice that you are receiving the right discount.
