How long was the award for?

If it was for more than two years then you should expect an AR1 form in September of this year.

Awards of two years or less can be handled in one of two ways.

First, they can be reassessed as most claims are, one year in advance of the claim ending with an AR1 Review form being issued.

Secondly, it can be decided that there will be no reassessment of the award and the DWP will notify the claimant 14 weeks before the end of the award to tell them that they must re-apply for PIP. This will be done using a PIP2.

Not long had our AR1 review 9 months early!
I asked why this was and was told, which makes some sense? that they have to start the review process early to avoid delays and possible non payment of benefits should things take longer than the review date!
As frustrating as that sounds that's what they say so perhaps they could extend that review date to 9 months after the date they quote to accommodate this anomality?
Just a thought.
