I am a new member and posting this to see if someone have similar problem(s) or can suggest.

I have applied for PIP in 2014 which was refused but given the following points:
1) To prepare food 2
2) Washing and bathing 2
3) Dress and undress 2

I am copying my disability description which I can think of:
Brief description of problems:

Nature of disability – Polio

To start with: First think in the morning when I wake up, I have to use my hand to lift my leg to get down.

Need hand support to sit on the toilet seat and need hand support to get up. It must be a quick shower as it is difficult to stand. Cannot bend to wash legs. It is a nightmare to cut toe nails.

Need bed support to dress and undress. When wearing socks it is very inconvenient and difficult. Get breathless by then.

When I go up and down stairs, I have to hold the stairs. It is very difficult if it is more than 1 floor.

I cannot walk with luggage.

I cannot walk continuously beyond 20 meters. I have to keep my right hand on my right knee for support while walking all the time. I have to stop and take rest for every 1-2 minutes. The maximum I can walk 50 meters but at least 3 breaks.

I cannot wear formal shoes. It hurts to move, as my left foot and right are different sizes. My right foot is smaller than my left foot. I have to wear only trainers (flexible). I was given a small aid to insert inside the right shoe by Northwick Park Hospital

When it rains I cannot make a single move and it is very difficult to hold an umbrella with one hand and hold my knee with another hand. Also I have to put more efforts to just walk for a few yards compared to normal weather. I fell on a number of occasions.

When I do any physical work for just 1 minute I immediately get tired also get pain in my back and get breathing problem.

I can only use my left leg but I cannot use my right leg for any physical function, as it does not function at all.

Apart from this there are lots of other problems, which I cannot remember but have been facing from my childhood and of course will face as and when the situation occurs throughout my life.

Do not know how to cook as never cooked in the life and also it is difficult to stand.

To end with: I have to lift my leg with my hand to get on to the bed.
