I have today been told that I am down for a home assessment due to the fact I have emotional unstable personality disorder I also have mobility problems and have to have help showering I as I caint shower my lower half am dreading the thought of having someone come to my home I am worried about harming myself also I have a dog but I caint walk her far and have to sit down on my walker regularly I am picking up a letter from my gp tomorrow as he feels that a f2f would be detrimental to my health do they just turn up without letting you know I am feeling paranoid and scared just feel like barricading myself in my flat and not going out its all too much

Have you contacted the Assessment Provider to see what information would allow them to do a Paper Based Review?

they said I need a doctors letter which I am collecting tomorrow I am so stressed I have had to call the crisis team I am thinking of giving up I caint go through all the stress the dwp through

So the important thing for you to keep in mind is that things are moving forward, you are getting the letter tomorrow so that's one thing that you have managed.

You realised you needed support and you contacted the crisis team, keep in touch with them if you need to.

Lastly, don't lose track of how important your benefits are to you. I know that all you can see at the moment is the stress they are causing you but once you get past the hurdle of the assessment things will be a lot easier for you.
