Advice needed re pip was created by Peta
My husband has received two letters today. Both with dwp on the left hand side and independent assessment services on the right hand side. One letter saying "we've looked at your case and we still need to see you." And the other letter saying "we've completed your assessment for dwp - we don't need to see you". Both have the same date on the letters and both came from the same address. My husbsnd has become ill and has not eaten probably for 12 days, 9 of which he has had no food. He has been messed around so much with assessments and no assessments at consultant centre, no home visits to home visits by two assessiors, to paper based assessments to no paper based assessments. He final thought things were being sorted out when he had a text saying dwp had received the report and they would write to him when they had made a decision within 4 weeks only then to receive those letters today. He has had visits from the doctor and medication has changed but i fear he will land up in hospital. Not sure where to go from here. Can i get a copy of the report before a decision has been made. Can they confirm they dont need to see him and then change their mind. Having agreed he needed a home visit and then agreed he wasnt well enough so they would do a paper based assessment to then say he has to travel to an assessment centre to be seen. Advice needed please.

Phone the Assessment Provider, there should be a contact number on the letters, they can confirm whether a face to face is required or not.

If a report has been returned to the DWP then contact the DWP office dealing with your husband's claim to request a copy of the report.
