ESA: Work Related Activity Group was created by salwil89
Good Morning
I have been on ESA for over a year and during this time my advisor suggested I request being transferred to the Support Group which has been unsuccessful because I do not fulfill the Schedule 3 requirements regarding mobility, vision and mental health.
Now for the second time I have received a letter advising me as follows and I would ask that some can please reclarify this for me. My interpretation is that I shall remain in the work related group?
"I am unable to revise the decision on 18/4/18 placing you in the Work Related Activity Group. This is because you do not meet any of the criteria for the Support Group (ESA regulation - Schedule 3)
I recently underwent a second medical examination when a physiotherapist interviewed me. I have the report and I cannot determine whether I am still in the work related group or not. There are no points allocated to the sections and at the end of the report there is a section that suggests that I cannot provide "evidence to support the opinion that the person does not meet any of the descriptors for limited capability for work-related activity.
Where do I stand in all of this? All of this is confusing. The lines of communication are poor with the Benefit Centre I deal with and when I have requested information, that has fallen on deaf ears.
Please advise.

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is
Welcome to Benefits and Work
In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ
My full name is showing, how can I stop it?
The extract from the letter does imply that you are still in the WRAG. Schedule 3 is the list of Support Group Descriptors.
The report is much more confusing, assuming you have posted the text correctly then there is a double negative which makes no sense as it suggests that they can;t see any reason why you are not in the SG (LCWRA), however, as it also says that there is no evidence it is difficult to see how a recommendation for the SG would be supported
I would contact the DWP office dealing with your claim to confirm the group you are currently in.
