PIP FORM was created by Tommyjocck
Has anyone ever filled in the PIP form online and downloaded a copy to their computer. I tried to do it but my laptop would not respond. I separated the pages of the form and copied them to my laptop. I typed the answers to the questions on separate paper and attached them to the appropriate pages. Why won't the PIP form allow the form to be filled in online? Thank you for any helpful info from members. PS, I filled the PIP form for my younger brother who has Klinefelter Syndrome and could not ever understand the form never mind fill the thing in.

Welcome to the forum, you might want to have a look at the following FAQ which explains where everything is

Welcome to Benefits and Work

In case you are not aware, your real name appears to be showing in the forum, if you want to change this then follow the instructions in the following FAQ

My full name is showing, how can I stop it?

There is no downloadable version of the PIP2 that can be completed on a computer, the only version I am aware of that is online is a sample of the form and should not be used for your claim.

Every page of the PIP2 is bar marked with a tag unique to the claimant so that is why there is no online version available.

It is perfectly OK for you to type your answers and attach them as extra pages to the PIP2, just make sure that each page has your full name and NIN at the top and that they are numbered, we recommend "page X of Y" so that it is easy to see if pages are missing. Make sure you clearly mark on the form where your answers are and on the relevant page that you are answering question X.

Attach the pages to the back of the PIP2 using a staple or make a hole in the top left corner and use a treasury tag, string or ribbon to the form. The pages need to be easily detached so that they can be scanned by the DWP.

I typed the whole application out in a word document, proof read it etc. Then I copied and pasted what would fit into the box with a 'please see continuation sheet tag'. Then, in a different word document, i copied and pasted the remainder of each answer with a title for each question to clearly identify it. The all you have to do is print the form and the continuation document.

Hi
I had issues with filling my PIP2 as well, found a post on here and got sorted. There is a Dept within the DWP that sends you the PIP2 to complete online complete with your unique bar code on it...…. Its a big secret though !.

Just send an email explaining your situation and why you are emailing include your N I number and as I did a contact number to
DCS DCPU Alternative Format Team at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. (not sure about if its upper or lower case). I did this and received a phone call back within one working day and then it was emailed ready for downloading and completing and was given an extra month to complete and return it … Good Luck and hope this helps you.

Thank you Gordon for your welcome to the forum. Just to updated my earlier enquiry about the PIP form. I copied all the pages of the form onto my laptop and printed all the pages. I then proceeded to type up all the answers onto a word document typing all the necessary info eg NINO etc with the page and question numbers. Once the typing was done, I made sure that I went through what I had typed up and that it was accurate with some changes that were necessary. I could not type on the form with ticks that were required on the facing pages this was done by hand, and all the answers were duly answered. Pages all stapled together and put into report form for dispatching to their collecting office in Wolverhampton. I had to use a larger envelope to accommodate the file and spent a little extra to ensure that it got to them. They acknowledged receipt of the file/report by way of a text message to my mobile. They again contacted me by text to say that I had to telephone them to make arrangement for a f2f assessment at their assessment centre in Glasgow, but I declined that request and insisted that they make arrangements for a home visit . After I explained to them why I requested a home visit they accepted my request. I may have forgotten to inform you that I was doing this for my younger brother who has learning difficulties as well as other disabilities and really struggles with these disabilities. I await their visit to my brother home for the f2f and I will be in attendance to audio record the whole interrogation by their 55 assessor.

What I do is set up word doc and put my detailed answers in.
The key is to correctly label each page with all your details like name address NI number contact details. I find it is easy to do this using the header and footer function.
In the actually document I just write please see attacked doc and give its ref number. All typed answers are then stapled in the correct order so that the HP can read in logical order.
Also don't forget to save you docs to a pen drive for future ref and safe keeping
