Hi all,
I have to attend my second WRAG next month :-( (six months since first).
I had a relapse in my condition in April this year and attended my PIP assessment about July. I have been awarded enhanced rate of both components for PIP. Would this be relevant to my next interview for the WRAG for ESA? I am worried sick about this appointment due to severe depression, social phobia, agoraphobia and since my first interview, relapse of incontinence of bowels, and no feeling in my left leg, some in my right leg. I have lower nerve damage in my spine, (not Chorda Equine), it is lower than that. I am scared to appeal the decision for ESA. Any advice would be most appreciated :-)
Thank you

Are you talking about an ESA assessment or a Work Focused Interview?

You can challenge the Decision to place you in the WRAG up to 13 months after the Decision was made but they can only consider your conditions as they were at the time of the Decision so any change since then will be excluded.

If this is a new assessment then your current problems will be looked at.

If a WFI then you do have the option of reporting a Change, but be aware that this will mean a new ESA50 and almost certainly a face to face assessment.

Hi Gordon,
Thank you for your reply.
This if for my second WFI . I really couldn't go through another assessment at the moment so that would not be an option for me.
I will update after my interview.
Many thanks again.

Hi Gordon and all ,
I had my second WFI last week.
I have to say It was not easy! I became very upset. Her notes said that my last job was as a Factory worker... My last job was a Carer until the nerve damage happened? Non of my conditions seemed to have been taken into consideration. The lady suggested that I go out once a week to a café...? As I have said before, I suffer from agoraphobia and social phobia! I declined this activity. She did suggest that I contact Social Services to have adaptions made to my home to help me, so that was a positive.

My next WFI will be in 6 months...
Thank you

The JC+ staff do not have access to the information from your assessment and are certainly not medically trained in any way, so you should not be surprised if they struggle to take your conditions into account.
