Recording medical assessment for ersonal use was created by randal_bond
Hi,
reading PIP guide, I saw that mentioning in your MR letter that you recorded a medical with ordinary recorder for personal use may result in you being refused an award.
I asked this in my previous forum posts and received a reply that I may do it, but it will hardly affect the results. That's why I would like to ask again: is it safe to mention that we consulted recordings made for our personal use, which confirmed the discrepancies in the report? We only want to do to give more weight to our argument. However, is it safe? Will we not lose out on PIP altogether?
Just wanted to make absolutely sure before sending the MR letter.
Thank you.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

I'm not sure what you have been reading but admitting to having made a covert record cannot result in your claim being refused, it can result in the assessment being terminated but you are already long past that point

Thank you for your reply and never mind me. I'm just a foggy. I was reading a 94-pages long PIP Claims and Reviews, if I call it right. Don't laugh at me but could you please confirm one more time that I'm safe mentioning in my MR letter that I recorded the assessment? Thanks again.

I can't see any issues with you mentioning that you have a recording of the assessment, just don't do anything with the recording itself, use a verbatim transcript from it if you need to make a point.
