PIP review and copy of ATOS report was created by Evelyn
Hi all I’m a newbie, and have used the information on this site to help with my first review.
My first question relates to timescales - I completed the review forms in April, had my face to face mid July and apart from a holding letter at the beginning of August saying they had all the information, I have heard nothing. I phoned and they said they were “ abit behind and were prioritising new claim(fair enough!) but having read a copy of the ATOS report, I think they may increase my award. will this be backdated and to when?
I had previously been on lower rate mobility but the physiotherapist I saw has marketed my walking ability to 1-20 meters. I marked my review as 20 - 50 meters ( I am rubbish at Distances!) I can see from the comments she watched me as I left and saw me “have a rest” after 20 meters! Are they likely to go by what she recommends? Seems odd if they do as I ticked the “more able” box
Anyway I think I’m in for a waiting game. I have had to reduce my working hours to 12 weekly so an increase would be nice, I really need to pay someone to do some cleaning for me!! Thanks in advance for your replies

Everything is running slowly because of Summer holidays, one member was told that it could be 10 weeks before they receive a Decision.

If the DWP initiated the review then I would expect any increased award to only apply from the date that the Decision was made.
