Trisha

I'm afraid there appear to be delays throughout the PIP assessment process, one member has reported being told that a Decision would be at least ten weeks.

hi trish ,
ime in south wales and had my review and f2f on the 21 /7 ,, dwp recieved the assesment report on the 31/7 ,, ive been asking for copy of report for past month after ringing several times to be told a decision hasnt been made and they cant accses the report as yet and the DM may need to refer back to report to make a decision ,,ive rang again this morning to be told they now can access the report and as ime insisting on getting a copy one will be posted out to me ,,also whilst speaking to the lady i asked why is it taking so long for a decision to be made and her reply was ,, it can take upto 4-5 months there isnt a specific time in which they have to do it by as they review you 12 mth before award ends so you still recieve payments until a decision has been made ,, i wondered to myself ,mmm,, so what about people whos circumstances have changed and recieves a possitive report from health assesor to which would give them a higher award than previously ,,do they i wonder delay sending the decision out ,if so think of the money there saving delaying in informing the claimants of there decisions ,ime sure if the review showed the claimant not scoring as many points they be quick enough to inform them then and lower the award or even stop payments ,,,

That’s interesting as I was just on standard mobility and according to the assessors report, she has assessed me as eligible for enhanced mobility and standard living so that is considerably more.....I should have contacted them myself for a review before really as maybe it would have got priority, I knew I was much worse . Anyway the decision maker might disagree with her but I have to say the report 100% reflected both me and the assessment. Completely factual, even the informal comments. So I may have to wait until November as I was seen in July!

yes mine health assessor was 100% profesional , everthing was stated down correctly and honeslty ,,i wasnt feeling possitive as as nice as they can be when your there doesnt mean anything as previous before that one it was lie upon lies , had to go to tribunal and appeal , ive still not recieved a decision as yet ,, hopeing it doesnt drag on too long as until i see it in black and white ime not putting my mind to recieving a higher award ,lol.,
