How is PIP treated for Council Tax Support?

Good Morning

I know Council Tax is not within your normal scope of advice.

However, since the main CT account holder (who was receiving CT Support) at our home went into a nursing home, we need to know who to put on the CT account, we need to know whst would be most beneficial in terms of tbe max Support possible.

I receive PIP. My sister will be receiving Carers Allowance & IS.

I can't find any advice service which can say how PIP is treated for CT Support purposes. Our citizens advice service has a two month queue for appointments. I am loathe to ask the assessors, the Council, such questions.

Thank you

PIP should enable a reduction of your Council Tax, however, you will need to speak to your council about this.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems
