Hi the dr I seen has wrote up a care plan as I replase she says in letter that I wont eat for two or three days then I binge one night being sick as I have been doing this I have been given weekly food daries and she set up alarms on my phone telling me when to eat or drink

I know this should award a total of six points

However I panoid that as I have gained weight and the dietitian said the weight gain is due to my body locking fat in as it does not know when itvget fed as I dont respond to hunger singles from body

Im now terrified that as I have gained weight the decriptors about making food and eating wont apply as of the weight gain

Is this something to worry about

I think the issue is broader than you think, it's not just about your weight but your showing that you still suffer from the underlying condition that causes the abnormal eating.

I realise that a care plan does not mean that you have been cured but you need to go back to basics and explain your problems from scratch.

I also think you need to change the emphasis of which Descriptor that you are hoping to score for unless I have missed what your doctor has done, this is not going to be classed as assistance.

Assistance is defined as physical intervention by another person and does not include speech.

Using this definition I see no assistance being provided at the time that you eat, a better fit would seem to be prompting but this only scores four points.

On my current claim its two for preparing and four for prompting to eat

My dietician has said he the letter he needs reminding to eat otherwise he wont eat for serval days then binge on unhealthy food which makes me sick during the night. The reason for weightgain his that his body is storeing fat as it dont know when his gonna need. I have started a food dairy for him to follow and review in 8 weeks

Its more detailed then that but it a rough idea

Sorry, I thought you were expecting to score six points for Taking Nutrition on its own.

AS I said in an earlier post, you need to go back to basics with this as the fact that you are receiving treatment may mean that assumptions are made about your recovery, so you need to explain that you are not experiencing the benefits of the change and that your issues with eating are still in place. However, be prepared for a short award as there will be an anticipation that this treatment will resolve your problems.

These are the things you need to explain, those assessing you lack imagination so they won't make the "leaps" of understanding that you might expect, you have to explain it point by point, even if that means repeating yourself.
