PIP Blue Badge was created by MaureenE
Transferred from DLA to PIP. After mandatory reconsideration, standard daily living, enhanced mobility. 12 points planning journeys, 0 points moving around. I do not agree with the decision, they have not considered my severe pain & being able to walk repeatedly. Do not want to appeal, afraid I may lose the award. Can I use my current Blue Badge until it expires?
Any advice appreciated.

Nothing on this board constitutes legal advice - always consult a professional about specific problems

I've seen mixed responses on this and nothing authoritative, I'm afraid you need to contact your Local Authority.

Exactly what happened to me. Received higher care and lower mobility. SoBlue badge runs out in October. I intend using it till the bitter end. Lol.
The local council sent a letter telling me it had to be returned to them by the date it expires . Which to means it can be used till then.
They did point out if it wasn’t returned by that date there would be a fine.
Like you I would appeal but fear losing the reward I have now.

You only need 10 mobility points for a blue badge, not the whole 12. Not sure how many points you got so hope this helps.

Actually, it is 8 points but they must be from the Moving Around activity for automatic qualification, the OP only scored for the Going Out one.
